 Security Support Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Description: The Security Support Specialist is responsible for the electronic security infrastructure and equipment responsibilities as outlined below.
a) Design: Assist in design and specification of electronic security systems.
b) Installation, Upgrade, and Repair: Support Specialist will work in the field to install, upgrade and repair equipment and systems. It is understood that the work is “hands on”, and Support Specialist will at times work in any combination of the following; autonomously, with the Lead Security Specialist or other company employees, with outside contractors and subcontractors.
c) On Site Technical Support: Assist in the identification and training of facility personnel in each region to have a basic knowledge of installed systems, so as to aid in trouble shooting, diagnosis of failed components, and repair (if possible).
d) Professional Development: Attend training courses, seminars, product demonstrations and industry events at the discretion of the company.
e) Inventory / Tool Control: Keep track of inventory and tools with a computerized report presented to the security committee on a quarterly basis.
Location:
a) Office Located at 524 North Avenue – Security Workshop.
b) Security installations are located at sites in: NJ, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Westchester and Long Island.
Experience Required:
- Qualifications:
a) High School diploma.
b) Minimum of 3 years experience in the electronic security industry, with “hands on” experience.
c) Good understanding of Computer Networking.
Salary: $37,500 to $45,000 benefits include oxford medical insurance and company 401K plan.
